So, I saw a Honda Del Sol today with collector plates. I couldn’t believe my eyes. Oh, and it was an automatic with a fart cannon.
Thoughts? I know, they should’ve been mid-engined too.

According to the rules in this state:
“Collector plates may only be displayed on motor vehicles (except recreational) that are at least 20 model years old and manufactured after 1935. At the time of application, the owners must certify that they have one or more vehicles registered with regular Minnesota license plates.”

But yeah, unmolsted Civi Si’s, Del Sol VTECS, and Integras really DO deserve to have collector plates though!

When the Integra Type-R turns 20 = yes. Civics and del sols... IMO no. (Strictly talking USDM)
Miatas = definitely yes.

Of all the fart cannons, that is one of the classier ones.

I don’t see the problem if it’s within the letter of the law. (Not saying I approve of the car itself, obviously.)

Where I’ve you can get club registration if you’re part of a car club and your car is old enough. It’s substantially cheaper than regular rego. If this is similar to that, what’s so shocking about this guy capitalizing?
